Our cooking classes begin at approximately 10.00 a.m. and are generally about 3/4 hours long and include the preparation of a multi-course meal, which you enjoy with wine at the end of the lesson. The Umbrian cuisine is incredibly rich and varied, famed for its heady olive oil; the wines are among the best produced in Italy.
Recipes vary according to the season, utilizing only the freshest ingredients available and providing you with a deeply individual Italian experience. The cooking lessons are great, the food sublime!

Typical Day
Single Day Cooking Class:
10:00 Arrive in the country farm. Begin instruction, highlighting the history of Umbria cooking and presenting the day's menu. Be prepared to roll up your sleeves for hands-on preparation of a glorious meal.
13:00 Enjoy the fruits of your work! Eat the foods that you just created complemented by our wine and extra virgin olive oil.
2 DAYS WINE , CHOCOLATE AND TRUFFLE
Day 1 - Arrive in Perugia
Arrival at the country farm "La volpe e l'uva" (Perugia, Central Italy, Umbria, near Tuscany) . Check-in your apartment at 4:00pm. Dinner reservations can be made at a restaurant of your choice

Day 2 - Wine and Chocolate
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
The tour take place from 15.00 to 19.00. At first you will visit the Perugia’s chocolate factory and the Chocolate Museum to learn about chocolate production. Than you will have a wine tour in the Chiorri Winemakers Company. It is a vineyard under family management, which with special care from their very own vines, produces D.O.C. Colli Perugini and IGT dell’Umbria white, red and rosè wines
Day 3- Truffle
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.

The truffle tour take place from 15.00 to 19.00. You will visit a farm located in the High Tiber Valley countryside, involved in the truffles business since 1990. Through the Educational itinerary to the Discovery of the Truffle; you will understand the history and it’s secrets, you will live the emotion of picking it in the woods, we will show you how to preserve the truffle and how to use it in cooking.
The tour includes: Demonstration of Truffle hunting with dog, lesson and practical advice on Truffle preservation, truffle and farm products tasting with local wine, tour of the farm and visit of the small museum.
Day 5 - Departure
4 DAYS WINE TOUR IN UMBRIA
Day 1 - Arrive in Perugia

Day 2 - Montefalco and Bevagna
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
The wine tour take place from 15.00 to 19.00. It is a wine tour in the Caprai winery. It produces Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCGS. You will have a guided tour of the vineyard, cellars finishing up with a test of local Umbrian specialties and the wines. You will also visit the medioeval city of Bevagna.
Day 3- Perugia, S. Enea
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
The wine tour take place from 15.00 to 19.00. It is a wine tour in the The Chiorri Winemakers Company. It is a vineyard under family management, which with special care from their very own vines, produces D.O.C. Colli Perugini and IGT dell’Umbria white, red and rosè wines. Visit of the Perugia city with a professional english speaking guide.

Day 4- Tuscany, Montalcino, Pienza , and Montepulciano.
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
In the afternoon(14.00) you will go to visit the socalled " way of the wines" in Tuscany: you will visit the beautifull villages of Montalcino, Pienza , and Montepulciano.
Day 5 - Departure

Day 1 - Arrive in Perugia

Day 2- Perugia
You have the day to yourselves to do some sightseeing or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings. An ideal day to make a trip to Perugia 4 km far from the farm. You can of course stay at the apartment and relax at the pool. Dinner reservations can be made at a restaurant of your choice.

Day3 - Wine Tour (Bevagna and Montefalco)
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.

Day 5- Assisi
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines.
The excursion take place from 15.00 - 19.00. You will visit the mystical city of Assisi, a beautiful medieval town based on Mount Subasio, overlooking a peaceful Umbrian landscape. Assisi is essentially known for the fact that it’s the place of birth of St. Francis in and that of Santa Chiara. You will visit the city and the famous churches like the St. Francis Church filled with spectacular frescoes by Giotto, and also the Eremo delle Carceri (a peacefully isolated church and monastery in the wooded slopes just outside Assisi's walls, this was the first monastic home of St. Francis' and his followers) and the St. Damiano church (A church and monastery outside the city walls is where the crucifix spoke to St. Francis, prompting him to repair it and begin his ministry. Later, St. Clare died here).

Day 6 - Perugia
Hands-on cooking class starts around 10:00am. You will prepare a four course lunch that you will eat at the end of the class, accompanied by our wines. You have the afternoon to yourselves to do some sightseeing or just enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Day 7- Orvieto
The excursion take place from 9.30 - 15.00. You will visit the town of Orvieto.
The city of Orvieto exists in symbiosis with the tuff cliff on which it stands, an extraordinary example of the integration of nature by the work of man. The Cathedral, dating back to 1263, is the most important architectural landmark of the city, with its splendid Gothic facing and the richness of the ornaments and internal chapels. In the ancient town we also find the St.Patrizio well, built in 1527

Day 8 - Departure
Age range, type of group
Groups are kept small and vary between 2 and 6 participants.
We also accept bigger groups (up to 15 person) for cooking experience and tours.

Sleeping and meals
The farmhouse in the beautiful heart of the Umbria valley, Italy, sourronded by 10 hectares of olive groves, vineyards and fruit trees.
Six independent apartments have been restored around the ancient stone house, which dates back to the 17th century.
It is only 4km far from the historic centre of Perugia and offers a suggestive view of the Umbrian hills. The proximity to Perugia, makes the holidays farm's position ideal for visiting other artistic towns in Umbria , such as Assisi, Gubbio, Todi, Orvieto and the Trasimeno lake.

There is a lovely swimming pool from which you can enjoy the panoramic view. The farmhouse is composed by independent apartments recently restored: bilo-apartments (Rocco, Oca, Fico, Riding)
All apartments have been comfortably furnished in farm-style teak furniture with great attention for detail. The farm lies on a hill and offers absolute peace and quiet with spectacular views of the surrounding hills and Perugia. Facilities in the farm:Swimming pool (6 X 12), Car Park, Garden, Play area for children, Outdoor barbecue, Sell of wine, olive oil and jams.
