The Wilde Kitchen is all about authenticity.....During your visit you will learn how the French 'live' the entire food expereince on a daily basis. You will prepare, with Sinéad, your Irish-born hostess, a typically - French meal, and dine with her bilingual family. Emphasis is on all things local and in - season produce. The most celebrated of Norman dishes are always on the menu!

Non-cooking guests are, of course, welcome to join us at mealtimes!

Otherwise, should you be passing through Normandy and don't have time or the energy(!) for a cookery class, you can now join us at our french table as we also offer bed and breakfast accomodation with evening meals on request; aswell as self-catering vacations in our 'Olde Hay Loft'.


We're perfectly located for visiting the D-Day beaches, Bayeux, the US Cemetary, Le Mont St Michel and lots more. Contact us for details and we'll help you plan your trip to Normandy.

Typical Day

If you're lucky enough to be here on a Monday/Friday, market day - a must for all foodies, Sinéad will guide you around the (morning) market,
picking up some of the ingredients necessary for your cookery lesson.
'Une pause café' in a real French café follows before we set you off in the right direction for lunch.
The afternoon is yours to explore - in the knowledge that we will, of course, recommend visits.
Rendezvous for foodies at La Blonderie (Wilde Kitchen) at 5 p.m where the work begins but the fun continues!
Dinner is prepared, then enjoyed, washed down with a glass of wine/cider.
You'll certainly experience for yourself 'la vie en rose'!

Age range, type of group

Open to all curious about food, traditions and generally the french 'art de vivre'.

Sleeping and meals

Enjoy comfortable, ensuite accomodation in our newly-restored Hay Loft and/or Maid's Quarters, located in the grounds of our 18th century farmhouse.
