Accommodations
The only Relais & Chateaux property in Nova Scotia, the Great Lodge provides four categories of rooms, all extremely well appointed and all with water views: The Granite Suite, Fireplace Junior Suites, Acadian Junior Suite, and Deluxe Junior Suites, which have either a single queen or two double beds. Each guest suite has its own name and special character, like the Tusket Junior Suite with a hand cut black granite fireplace and French door leading to a balcony overlooking the Tusket River. We also rent Black Bear Cottage (2 bedroom house on East Meadow Lake) and romantic Cub Cottage. River Bend Lodge has 3 rooms and one suite that can be rented either individually or as a whole for groups. Trout Point has earned 4.5 stars from Canada Select, a national rating agency. (4 Stars: Exceptional accommodations with an extensive range of facilities, guest amenities and services. Half stars are awarded to properties whose overall quality of facilities exceeds their specific category star rating.) In addition, the Trout Point Lodge is inspected and recommended by Conde Nast Johansens.

Rooms/Suites
The Great Lodge has eight junior suites and one full suite, all with full bath, local Acadian-made log & twig furniture including sofas or love seats, one queen or two double beds, handmade rugs, handcrafted log walls and beam ceilings, & original artwork. All rooms have river views & many have wood burning fireplaces or stoves. Decor includes Italian tile bathrooms, hand-knit rugs, & rustic wood floors. Each room provides a writing desk and Bose CD/radios, but does not have television or telephones.* A handicapped equipped & accessible room is available. The Great Room, porches, patios, decks, breezeways, & mezzanine library provide space for relaxing & enjoying the pristine woods, wildlife, & water surrounding you. *Telephone service is available via the front desk.

The Great Lodge and surrounding grounds offer plenty of space to sit, converse with others, curl up with a book, or simply take in the beauty of nature. Well behaved children only are welcome. After parking your car upon arrival, you will find no other motorized vehicles on land or water at Trout Point or in the adjoining Tobeatic Wilderness Preserve.
