Description of Activity/Tour

Overland NZ offers inclusive, guided adventure tours and vacations in New Zealand that range from 5 to 30 days; from Auckland to the Bay of Islands to Queenstown and Milford Sound; so whether it’s a short holiday or a longer tour you are after, Overland NZ has a wide range of options to suit everyone.
Our tours are designed to cater to all fitness levels and ages and we use different forms of accommodation to suit – camping and hotels/ farmstays/ lodges. We are not hop-on hop-off tours; we are fully guided tours with set departures. We are travel with a difference with 24 unique itineraries. We give you plenty of time for adventure activities: bungy jumping, whitewater rafting or hiking to the top of glaciers etc; but you will also be able to relax and sip some of the best New Zealand wine available. We travel to the tip of the North Island to the bottom of the South Island with 4 major cities as start points - Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. Ice climb, bungy jump, mountain bike, wine taste, raft, jet boat or just relax on some beautfiul, barely inhabited beaches. We offer the best that New Zealand has to offer in a very unique way.

Age range, type of group

The majority of our passengers are aged 20 - 55, travelling with a partner, by themselves or in a group of friends. They originate from the UK, Australia, New Zealand, North America and Europe, and are in good health and of like minded character. If you are looking for adventure you will go away with great memories and newly formed friendships that will last a lifetime.

Sleeping and meals

We use different forms of accommodation on our tours - Hotels, Farmstays and Camping. When camping we provide easy to erect 3 person dome tents and comfortable sleeping mattresses. There are opportunities en-route to 'upgrade' to basic chalet type accommodation in some campsites at your own expense. All 'hard top' accommodation is based on Twin Share unless circumstances dictate otherwise. Three meals a day are provided whilst camping and most other breakfasts and some lucnhes are also included.

Restrictions

People under 18 are not permitted on our tours. If you charter the truck, then under 18 passengers are permitted.

Rates from USD530.00 (5 days) per person to USD2380.00 per person (30 days).

Other Information

Transport used: Our purpose built overland truck. Our New Zealand truck 'Danmar' is a Scania 93M series and is the only Adventure Overland Vehicle in the country. It is fully enclosed with tinted sliding windows, forward facing seats, heaters, a fridge, a safe and a stereo. It also has a fully stocked kitchen, cooking and camping equipment, two mountain bikes for free use, an onboard library and plenty of room for your luggage. Our Overland trucks are designed for comfort, viewing and getting off the beaten track.
