Surrounding Area

Just a short walk from the villa is the traditional village of Uzumlu where you can buy local produce. There is also a post office, restaurants, wine bar, and a local market on Fridays. The village of Uzumlu is one of spectacular natural beauty, set in a valley surrounded by dense pine forests rugged hillsides and fields of cotton, sesame, aniseed, wheat, barley and a variety of vegetables as well as apples, grapes, almonds, pears, figs and olives . At the start of the season the poppies and other wild flowers fill the meadows with an profusion of colour. It is 500m above sea level which means the cooling mountain breezes are perfect for when the local temperatures soar in the summer months. The area is steeped in history and is ideal as a base to explore the countryside including the hilltop Roman city of Cadianda approx 20mins away. The coastal resorts of Fethiye and Calis are just twenty minutes drive away.

Vacation Rental Property

From the entrance you walk into the large open plan living area with the stairs leading up to the second floor. An archway leads you to the bathroom, bed room, and separate fully equipped kitchen that has patio doors leading out onto the large terrace.The lounge area has seating for 8 (the sofa opens out into a bed), Large patio doors lead out onto the pool terrace. From the lounge you go through sliding doors into the dining room which has seating for 10 people, there is a French balcony that is overlooks the pool. Up stairs there is another seating area that has doors leading out onto the large sun terrace. Outside there are 3 seperate areas to sit. The pool terrace which has steps leading down on to the BBQ patio and gardens which then lead to the lower patio.

Sleeps & # of Bedrooms

The villa has five good sized bedrooms and is able to sleep 12, On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with its own balcony (convenient if you have a person that has difficulty with stairs). Next to the bedroom is the main bathroom which has a Jacuzzi bath and shower cubical. Going up the stairs you will find the master bedroom. This has a king size bed, an en-suite shower room and balcony. The family room has a double bed, sofa bed and space for the cot. It has access to the large sun terrace that overlooks the pool. Two twin bedded rooms one of which has a balcony. There is also a family shower room on this floor All the bedrooms are air conditioned and the 3 double bedrooms have hairdryers.There is also a small self-contained annex that sleeps 2 in single beds + 1 on sofa bed beneath the house, which may be made available if required at an extra cost.(please note that the annex would not be occupied by anyone else whilst you are renting the villa as it is not available to rent separately).

The lounge has Mountain Views a Fireplace, Satellite TV, DVD Player, DVDLibrary, CD/Stereo, Board Games, Reading Library ,Sofa Sleeper Linen, seperate towels for both inside out outside the villa, cool bag are supplied.We can also provide you with a travel cot suitable from birth, high chair and all terrain push chair.

If you wish we will change your towels and linen half way through your stay, but if you want the villa cleaned there will be an extra charge.A basic welcome pack is provided.

Several ancient ruins are within driving distance but if your feeling energetic, walk up to the nearby hilltop Roman city of Cadianda, dating back to the 5th century B.C. the views are breath taking. The coastal resorts of Fethiye and Calis are just twenty minutes drive away. Oludeniz with its famous lagoon is approx another 15 minutes awayIn Fethiye you will find bustling shops, a harbour (from here you can get local boat trips as well as the hydro foil to the Greek island of Rhodes), a museum, and the large Tuesday market. Calis is the nearest beach to Uzumlu. It is a quiet yet busy holiday resort, with a seemingly endless beach, the shoreline is 6km long and is a significant nesting place for turtles. A good selection of bars and restaurants line the promenade. Directions

From Dalaman Airport follow the signs to Antalya and Fethiye on the D400 for about 40 mins. As you approach Fethiye you see signs to Fethiye to the right, ignore these and carry on following the signs to Antalya. After about 3km you will then see signs for Denizli and Uzumlu as well as the brown tourist sign for Candianda pointing to the left. Take Turn left at the lights and roundabout and follow this road, climbing through forest for about 13Km. The road drops down into the valley, levels out and then becomes a dual carriageway; continue over a roundabout passing Uzumlu village on the right, continue on until the dual carriageway ends with a junction.Turn right at this junction follow the road round, after the road straightens out take the first track on your left, continue up the track until you come to a sharp left hand bend the villa is facing you, instead of going around the bend go straight forward up the driveway
