Accommodations

Clair Tappaan Lodge has the natural charm of an Austrian lodge. Built from huge local timbers, the Lodge offers family -style dining and inviting living room area ideal for relaxing around the piano or meeting with friends or business associates at the fireplace. Cozy Library for serious reading/research. Lower level has hot tub, play room, guest refrig and storage for your kayak or skis. Cantileverd decks overlook forest and valley and invite view of sunset or moon-glow. Friendly staff welcome you to the Lodge.

Rooms/Suites

Sleeping accommodations for up to 140 guests include small rooms for couples or singles; larger bunk rooms for families; separate dorm rooms for men and women.

Women and men each have bathrooms, shared, not private.

Amenities

The Lodge offers flexible meeting space for clubs, special events, retreats or corporate get-a-ways. Conferences can be arranged for day-use or overnight. Meals are generous and can be styled to suit an event with proper notice upon booking of the Lodge. Any company or club can book the Lodge "exclusively" for its meeting or event. A large hot tub, game room and lounge available on lower level.

Guided hikes available upon advance notice; photographic outings, Tahoe Rim Trail , Pacific Crest Trail and Full Moon outings may be viewed on the website.

No Smoking or pets are allowed in the Lodge.

Donner Lake, 10-minutes away offers Kayaking, swimmng and wind-surfing. Bring your mountain bike and enjoy the best of the rolling landscape.

Directions

Clair Tappaan Lodge is approx 45-minute drive west of Reno; an hour and half drive east of Sacramento just off Interstate 80. Exit at Soda Springs/Norden and go 2.4 miles east on Donner Pass road. At the 2.4 mile mark, look to your left to see the Lodge sign. Park at the base of the wide footpath or across the road in the designated parking lot. Also in summer or fall, access the Lodge by a rear drive to drop off your luggage before parking in the regular lot.
