The Port Salut Beach House Bar and Grill is located on the turquoise Caribbean Sea in the coastal village of Port Salut, Haiti. It is a very safe establishment with 24 hour security. The unassuming “Caille Creole” appearance outside fades as you enter into the lively courtyard and tropical garden.The five simple rooms are comfortable and breezy featuring mosquito nets and privacy.

The piece de la resistance is the 'islandy' thatch roof-covered bar and restaurant area located on the roof top with amazingly beautiful views of the world famous white sands of Point Sable Beach. Fully functioning and fully staffed, cold drinks and hot food is available all day.

Try a dug-out canoe ride with a local fisherman, or take a hike in the lush countryside and visit one of the local waterfalls not far away. Ask about a visit to the local hougan or a voodoo fete! Local information is available and Guided trips can be arranged.

Directions

The flight from Port-au-Prince to Les Cayes is too convenient to miss. But, by bus, the road trip from the capital is nice for sight seeing. From Les Cayes on the newly paved road, Port Salut is a 40 minute ride. 'Tap-taps' are available on a limited basis. The rule is to go early, as they stop running by early afternoon. Just ask where the 'Port Salut Station' is.
The Port Salut Beach House Bar & Grill is just 300 meters past the Point Sable Beach on the sea-side of the road. You can't miss the signs!
