Old Town Alur Hostel

Hostel Old Town Alur is situated in the heart of the Old City and in the widest and quiet street. It has a unique location – 1 minute on foot from Town Hall square, the heart of the Bottom Merchant city, in immediate proximity from a Fortification constructed in the 15th century.

We are in 10 minutes on foot from the Seaport and in 5 minutes from the railway station, only 5 km from the bus terminal and 7 km from the airport. The Russian Embassy is next door. It is convenient for those who wish to get the Russian visa.

We are located in a building constructed in the 15th century which was completely renewed in 2006. Therefore you will find yourself in the place where the old spirit goes with a modern design - spacious light rooms, noise proof windows, a parquet floor, the modern bathrooms and W C rooms , all is in accordance with the European standard. All rooms are provided with the new wooden, eco furniture. We also have a combined Kitchen and Common room. The kitchen is provided with all necessary equipment. The Common room is furnished in an ancient pub style where you could eat, drink beer, talk to the old and new friends and immerse in the Old Tallinn colour.



Hostel Old Town Alur is located in the street Lai / that means Wide/. There are the Applied Art Museum, Museum of Nature and Health Museum in this street as well as a shop of the well-known confection factory 'Каlev'. You’ll for certain like to visit one of the most known constructions of Tallinn – church Oleviste built in the 13th century and situated in 100 meters from us. It was one of the highest in the world. Its strict Gothic silhouette is one of the symbols of Tallinn from ancient times.

Our place advantageously differs from others that you can reach all numerous clubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, theatres, museums on foot for 1 - 15 minutes. And on returning to our hostel you will appear in a silent and quiet place within all night and day where you can relax, have a rest really and well sleep. Directions

In Tallinn fare for all kinds of public transport / a tram, trolley bus, bus / is of one price.
If you get a ticket in the news-stall the cost of 1 ticket is 13 eek, 10 tickets – 90 eek.
The ticket bought in the transport from the driver costs 20 eek.

The airport / 7 km /

Bus 2 takes you to the Seaport / terminal A/. Then go in the direction to the Old City. Cross tram ways and enter the Old City through a tower Thick Margarita. In the first street turn to the right. Reach the church Oliveste, turn to the left and you will get to the street Lai. Pass about 150 meters forward and you are at our hostel.
It takes you not more than 80 – 100 eek to get to the hostel by taxi.


The bus terminal/5 km /

Take tram 2 going to the city centre. Pass 5 stops and get off on the stop “Linnahall”. Cross tram ways and enter the Old City through a tower Thick Margarita. In the first street turn to the right. Reach the church Oliveste, turn to the left and you will get to the street Lai. Pass about 150 meters forward and you are at our hostel.
It takes you not more than 70 – 90 eek to get to the hostel by taxi.

Seaport

Move in a direction to the Concert hall - Linnahall ”. Cross tram ways and enter the Old City through a tower Thick Margarita. In the first street turn to the right. Reach the church Oliveste, turn to the left and you will get to the street Lai. Pass about 150 meters forward and you are at our hostel.
It takes you not more than 50- 60 eek to get to the hostel by taxi.

The railway station

Go to the Old City through the underground passage . You will get to the street Nunne. Pass 250 meters forward and turn to the left. You are in the street Lai. Pass 100 meters forward and you are at our hostel.
