Hamilton City is central to most major North Island tourist destinations - 11/2 hours from Auckland n NZ's largest city. Close to Rotorua, Tauranga, Taupo, Coromandel penninsula, Waitomo, and beautiful beaches, lakes, and mountains. NZ is famous for its adventure tourism activities ie white water rafting, snow sking, caving, watersports, bungy jumping, and many more. Farm visits are very popular for horse riding and baby animal petting.

Typical Day

9.00 am - 12.00pm Classes, 12.00 - 1.00 pm Lunch (as we are centrally located students often go into the city centre for shopping), 1.00 - 3.00 pm classes usually includes activities, tutorials, seminars. self study.

Age range, type of group

Our students come from all obver the globe including Asia, Europe, South America, Middle East, North Africa, India and the Pacific. Ages range from 14 years (younger if with a group) right up to 80+ for our senior student programme.

Sleeping and meals

We recommend initialy staying with a Homestay family to help acclimatise yourself to NZ culture. As Hamilton is a university city it has a wide range of cafe's and restaurants catering to international cuisine ie Chinese, Korean. Indian, Thai, Japanese, etc
