
Activity/Tour
You will spend a week (or two) in historic, colonial San Miguel de Allende, in the central highlands of Mexico, studying guitar for 2 hours a day with Jack and Frances of Guitar Vacation Retreats. In the evenings, enjoy live music and other cultural experiences that San Miguel has to offer.
Typical Day
Rise and shine, have breakfast, take a cab down to Jack and Frances's house for a morning guitar lesson. Tea break, chat, take an hour to practice. Lunch at your Mexican hosts' house. Siesta. Mid-afternoon lesson, tea break, practice time. Home for dinner, out to see San Miguel in the evening, sometimes on your own, sometimes guided by Jack and Frances.
Age range, type of group
Guitar Vacation Retreats is recommended for all adults and older teens, for whom we offer complete travel packages except for airfare. We also have lesson programs for children but we do not make lodging arrangements for them; they must be accompanied by adults, who must make their travel and lodging arrangements. Guitar Vacation Retreats students may be accompanied by a non-guitar-playing spouse or partner.
Sleeping and meals
Our economy package includes room and board with a Mexican host family. For deluxe packages, we make hotel arrangements. You may also may your own travel and lodging arrangements if desired.

Other Information
Yes, we have rental guitars available if you find it inconvenient to travel with yours. We may have guitars available for purchase.
