CALEDONIAN WATERFALLS
WALKING PROGRAMME … a natural phenomenon…

Neighboured to the charming mountain health resort TROODOS at 1.500m height we start our walking trek to the Caledonian Waterfalls.The interesting way leads the valley downward on a hidden nature trail, which is winding along an all year waterfilled cold mountain river, called "kryos potamos". Several times the clear brook is to be crossed on soft rocks and stones. The unique geology, fauna and flora in that part of the mountain region is explained by experienced walking leaders from ECOLOGIA TOURS & TRAVEL. Black pine, gold oak, Aleppo pine and strawberry trees are companions specially on this track. The sight of the waterfalls offers a magnificent natural phenomenon: the water of the river falls down in approx. 15m high cascades.
Typical villages in that part of the mountain area bring a view into the everyday life here.

All ages are welcome. If you feel healthy and fit and are used to walk in nature, there ins no restriction to participate in our hiking vacations on Cyprus.

Sleeping and meals

Small family ownd hotels with flair are our accomodation or nice apartments next to the sea or in Cypriot villages.
Often we take fruits with us for energy breaks or we visit Cypriot country tavernas with authentic, rich food.
We are going far away from standard - on our excursions and treks we find the pure, traditional Cyprus. As well the tavernas are choosen with love (and appetite)
