

Active Adventure
The ranch house has three bedrooms and two full baths. The Master Bedroom has a queen size bed and shares the Master Bath with the second bedroom that has two twin beds. The third bedroom has an adjoining bath and queen size bed.The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, stove and microwave. The living room has a DVD player (no external television signal) with TV and a large library.There is a snack bar in the kitchen and also a separate dining room.The house is adjacent to the original adobe hacienda now being used for storage.Daily maid service is included in the price. Full time maid/cook services can be contracted or meals can be arranged to be taken with a family in the village for an extremely reasonable charge.All linens, towels and kitchenware are included

Typical Day
Moonbeam is a magical place for all ages. Whether you would like to spend your days exploring the countryside on horseback or foot, or relax on the patio in hammocks or lounge chairs, you will find your spirit and body renewed. There are wonderful sights to be found and explored in the area, and we are eager to help you discover them. Families with children will especially enjoy the ease of interaction with the children in the village only a 10 minute walk from the house. The huge abundance of flora and fauna offers fascinating walks and the local villagers are great at explaining the native uses for the many medicinal plants that grow on the ranch.

We have lived and worked on Rancho Rayo de Luna for almost 20 years and are now offering to you a chance to enjoy all our favorite activities (minus the work!!). We want our ranch house rental to become your home during your stay and the adventure travel you are looking for. There are so many options , whether you want a secluded honeymoon getaway, or an adventure vacation for the whole family, you stay with us will go by quickly, but here are just a few:-- enjoy the perfect climate from the hammocks, with daytime temps of 28 degrees and gorgeous views, there´s no need to move at all!-- join a privately arranged birdwatching tour-- Horse ride or hike through the mountain trails with a barbecue waiting for you at a waterfall.-- Hike or mountain bike , easy to difficult, on well marked paths or with knowledgeable guides who can show you the hidden mines and enthrall you with mystical legends.-- Mexican cooking lessons, using native plants and ingredients.-- cultural tours of local villages and hidden corners of our region-- evening picnic with incredible sunset views from the mountain top, beverages included.-- visit private hot water springs and waterfalls-- participate in local fiestas, rodeos or bullfights.-- Have your own private Spanish lessons or help the kids in the local school learn English-- Swim in a private freshwater spring fed stream nearby-- Fish or hunt on our 120 has. Other Information
The ranch with the tiny village closeby is a great place for immersion Spanish. The local teachers are available after 1pm to work with you all afternoon on you Spanish. The folks in the village enjoy chatting in the evenings with you.
Horse back riding lessons are included in the guide service. The trails are abundant and easy to learn on and David is a good and patient teacher.
Our housekeeper is an excellent cook and enjoys showing our guests how to make her family recipes.
Birdwatching can be arranged in advance with an orinthologist from the University of Guadlajara.
