The Penobscot Bay Inn, a five-acre retreat is nestled on a hillside looking out on beautiful Penobscot Bay, renowned for its islands and coves and scenes of white-sailed schooners and lobster boats. Situated on the edge of historic Belfast, a charming harbor town with old sea captains homes, art galleries, boutiques, and a variety of restaurants, the inn is central to all of mid-coast Maines premier attractions such as Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, Camden, Penobscot Marine Museum, Maine Maritime Academy, the Farnsworth Art Museum and L. Bean, and the numerous shopping outlets in Freeport. This central location makes travel in every direction easy and all attractions attainable in good time.
Its lodging accommodations include five spacious and comfortable guestrooms in this classic shingled inn-style cottage and 14 bright, modern rooms in the Field House. A hearty country breakfast is served to all guests daily in the hotels sunny bay room, on the enclosed veranda or outside on the deck looking out on the bay.
All rooms have queen- or king-sized beds, several rooms have two queen- or king-sized beds, private baths, telephones, cable TV, and air conditioning.
