Pousada California is located right in the heart of Canoa Quebrada, one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil and a well known meeting point for travellers from all over the world. The relaxed comfortable atmosphere in our Pousada makes it one of the most popular places in Canoa especially with backpackers.

We have warm sun all year round with and a cool ocean breeze keeps the temperature perfect. A visit to Canoa will be a highlight of any visit to Brazil whether you are just looking for lazy days at the beach barracas, or more active one of passeios on the sea or in the dunes. For those in search of more adventure there is excellent kite-surfing, horseriding and moto-cross.

Almost every sunday night and full moon there is a party on the beach. The rest of the time the movimento is concentrated on the many bars, restaurants and danceterias in the main street.

Directions

Canoa is on the coast between Fortaleza (3hrs by bus) and Natal (5hrs by bus). Most buses stop at the rodoviaria in Aracati 16km away and combi-minibuses, locally called `topic´s complete the rest of the journey.

Once you are in Canoa, Pousada California can be found in Rua Nascer do Sol which runs parallel to the main street on the side closer to the sea.
