Description - California Bike Tours - Undiscovered Country USA
Active Adventure
Road cycling on California backroads throughout the state. Difficulty ranges: easy, moderate, avid, epic. Easier and harder options each day. Distances from 30 miles to over 100 miles per day. Climbing from virtually flat to over 10,000 feet per day. Custom and private tours are available for groups of 6 or more.
Typical Day
Each days begins with breakfast and a morning meeting to go over the day's ride. Daily rides range in length from 2 hours to about 5. The support van is on the route to provide food, drink, mechanical support, or a lift. We often have afternoon snacks and drinks at the end of the ride, followed by dinner in a restaurant.
Age range, type of group
Adults only (18 years or older), singles or couples welcome.
Sleeping and meals
Stay in lodges, inns, and smaller hotels, with a preference for older, historic lodging. Dine in restaurants that emphasize healty California cusine whenever we can.
