A very cozy and friendly hostel run by an Australian and Swedish couple.
Situated in Swedish Lapland , opposite the lake and near to the ski lifts, Tarnaby Bed & Breakfast have dormitory rooms, single rooms or double rooms.

We also have a choice of 4 bed ,6 bed, or 10 bed private self-contained apartments available nearby.

A newly built section opened in March 2006 ! This has now become our pub-cafe-restaurant with beautifully made and scrumptious home baked cakes and dinners. Here you can choose to have breakfast. ( BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE PRICE: BREAKFAT IS AN EXTRA 60 SEK per persom per day ) With Wi-Fi internet access available, it's perfect to relax and catch up with home or business.
A new outdoor ' barrel ' 10-seat sauna is another new addition.

There is ample off-street parking and a motor warmer socket available for the winter months.
We have snow scooters available for rental in winter and canoes, boats, mountain bikes in summer.
A Ski Bus can pick you up from the door to take you Tarnaby ski slopes (between 800 and 1500 mtrs away ) or to our sister ski-resort of Hemavan .

By car:
If you come from the south (E4), we can recommend youchose the way over ÖVERKALIX. Please observe to exit E4 and choosedirection KIRUNA (E10).
From Överkalix you make a right turn ÖVERTORNEÅ. At the intersection at Övertorneå, you turn left to SVANSTEIN.
When you enter into SVANSTEIN, you will find SVANSTEIN GÅRDEN on your right.

Train:
The closest railway station is in PELLO (Finland) or TURTOLA (Finland).
On the Swedish side MORJÄRV or BODEN is most appropriate.
