The tranquil, rural, lakeside village of Obertraun is sure to leave a lasting impression, with an abundance of tourist attractions and the contrasting peace and tranquility in the surounding mountains, forests and rivers.

Haus Hepi is a recently refurbished, quaint, Bed & Breakfast property also offering evening meals. The house is located in an elevated position on the edge of the Sarstein forest and only a few minutes walk from the village centre and Lake Hallstatt.

The comfortable guest rooms include en-suite bathrooms, traditional pine furniture, Sat TV and hairdryer. Most have south-facing balconies complete with a spectacular panoramic view of the Dachstein Mountain Range.


Obertraun is 4km from the famous lakeside village of Hallstatt and just over one hours transfer from Salzburg.

Obertraun is a popular adventure sport destination offering sports enthusiast's activities spanning the four seasons throughout the year, ranging from, Freeride Ski-ing to Snow shoe Walking in winter and Rock Climbing to Paragliding in summer.

Things to see & do in Obertraun:
Boat trip, Ice cave, Saltmine, Bone house, Skiing, Museum, Mountain Five Finger viewpoint, Glacier Garden, Swimming, Hiking, Cycling and all those are in the immediate vicinity plus much more...

Visit the Imperial spa town of Bad Ischl or Gosau with its jagged mountain peaks, and with the pilgrimage village of St Wolfgang you will be spoilt for choice of beautiful destinations to visit in the Salzkammergut region.

Directions

Travelling by car from Salzburg airport follow blue motorway signs A1, direction Wien(Vienna). Take Thalgau exit and follow road through Hof, Fushlsee, St Gilgen, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern. Take the right exit after Bad Goisern signposted Golling, Gosau, Hallstatt, Obertraun.

Follow the road along Lake Hallstatt, turn left at signs for Hallstatt, Obertraun. Follow the road past Hallstatt and into Obertraun. Drive over the railway crossing and turn left at the junction, take the next road on the right (approx 200m) called Stiegergasse.

Follow the green signs 'Haus Hepi', the house is on the right, set back from the road.

Obertraun is also reachable by train or bus.
