Vila CasaNova is a small guest house with Bed and Breakfast amenities in the cozy atmosphere of a quite residential street in Santa Teresa, a historical neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.

At reasonable rates, similar to a hostel, we offer a more personal choice of lodging in private rooms.

The house is a charming four-floor rustic eighties construction where bricks and concrete contrast with nature and a wide view of the green and the city center.

The rooms are in a tranquil and private ambient and either have a ceiling fan or an air conditioning and some have a balcony overlooking a green valley, the village houses and the city center. The accommodations are single, double or twin but it is possible to add an extra bed under request.


We are conveniently close to the center and Lapa neighborhood, at only 10 minutes from Corcovado, in a place from where you can easily reach the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the Sugar Loaf, the Maracanã football stadium and the Sambódromo where the great carnival parade takes place.

Our B & B is also only a walking distance from the local commerce with its shops, restaurants, cafes and a cool bohemian nightlife.

- The payment of the balance due should be done at check in time in cash (we don´t work with credit cards) in Brazilian Reais, US Dolars, Euros or GB Pounds.

* NEW YEAR 2009: Minimum Stay of 4 nights in the period within Dec 28 and Jan 02, with advanced deposit of 50% of the rest of the balance due via MoneyGram money transfer services with no reimbursement in case of cancellation.

* CARNIVAL 2009: Minimum Stay of 6 nights in the period within Fev 17 and Fev 25, with advanced deposit of 50% of the rest of the balance due via MoneyGram money transfer services with no reimbursement in case of cancellation.
