Owned by relatives of John and Mable Ringling, of the Ringling Circus fame, the house was built in 1926 as the family's beach house. The Ringling Museum of Art and Mote Marine Aquarium are roughly 15 minutes away, Myakka State Park is 20 minutes away, and Busch Gardens is about an hour and a half from this hotel.
