Hotel Telegrafo was opened in 1888.

With an outstanding reputation it was considered one of the best in Latin America. Originally in Amistad Street, it was moved to present location in the 1860s, on one of the most famous streets intersection of the city: Paseo del Prado and Neptuno. After been closed for a long time, it reopened to remind us about the famous hotel it was at the end of the 19th. century.

Its eclectic facade discovers today the architectural evolution it went through the years.
While the first two floors respect its original classical silhouette, upper floors are the prelude of a more contemporary style. The combination of modern design and the original round arches under the uncovered original brickwork could be enjoyed once you are in the snack bar in the central court yard. From the snack bar old ruins of the original courtyard are still visible. Its big half-arches without plaster shows bricks and masonry which contrast with the modern design of the hotel. Spacious rooms with high ceilings. Views mainly to Central Park. Few meters away from Havana’s Grand Theater, Capitol building and National Museum of Art, among other surrounding places of interest. 5 minutes walking to Old Havana historical settings will allow visitors to enjoy museums, plazas and colonial buildings. 5 minutes to Train Central Station and 10 minutes to Central Bus Station, by taxi. In front of the hotel you can rent a bicycle-taxi, if you prefer and have no much luggage.
