Uig Youth Hostel

Uig Hostel offers fantastic views over the bay, good facilities, including private rooms and a warm welcome. Uig is the gateway to the Outer Hebridean Islands and ferries leave daily.

The eerie pinnacles of the Quiraing, the famous Old Man of Storr, and the magical fairy Glen are not far from Uig. Locally, you can hire bikes and canoes or try pony trekking. Directions

By Car:

The hostel is 20 minutes north of Portree on the right just after passing the village sign.


On Foot:

Walk 2 km from the ferry terminal, the hostel is visible from the bay. Follow the road heading to Portree.

By Ferry:

Ferries from Lochmaddy and Tarbert on the Outer Hebrides.

By Bus:

Daily Citylink buses stop close to the hostel.
