Godzillas Hostel

Godzillas is Moscow's largest and best-known hostel. It was the first independent hostel to open in Moscow and has been featured in The New York Times, Newsweek and The Daily Telegraph.

The hostel is situated in a historical three-story pre-revolutionary building in the centre of Moscow and is a short walk from all the major tourist attractions (Kremlin, Pushkin Square etc..). The nearest Metro stations are Tsvetnoi Bulvar (3 minutes) and Tverskaya / Pushkinskaya (5 minutes).

We have the widest selection of private rooms (twins and singles) and dorm rooms (four-bedroom – ten-bed) in Moscow.

Godzillas is Western owned and managed. All staff are multi-lingual and have extensive knowledge of Moscow and Russia.

Taxi Pickup

Godzillas can arrange airport and train station pick-ups. The cost for an airport pick-up is R1500. The cost for a train station pick-up is R800.

Typical journey time to all airports is one hour. In peak times please allow for at least 1 ½ - 2 hours. Train stations are a maximum 30 minute journey.

Airports

There are two main airports in Moscow (Sheremetovo & Domodedovo). Both are located about an hour out of the city in different locations, a third airport Vnukovo is used by budget airlines.

There is no direct Metro link to any of the airports. Below is a list of transport options.

Sheremetovo 2 (SVO2) - International / Sheremetovo 1 (SVO1) - Domestic

Sheremetovo (Sher-re-met-ye-vo) is located in the north of the city and is the hub for all Aeroflot flights. A number of international airlines fly from here.

Express Train - There is an express train that goes to Savelovsky Train Station (near the centre). The journey time takes 30 minutes and the fare is R250. Trains leave hourly or every 30 minutes at peak times. The train station is located 250m from Terminal 2.

From there you need to change to the Metro (Savelovkaya Metro Station). Godzillas is 3 stops away on the Grey line.
Shuttle Bus / Metro – Shuttle buses can be taken to Planernaya Metro Station (Purple line) or Rechnoi Vokzal Metro (Green Line).

From there it about a 30 minute journey to Godzillas at Tsvetnoi Bulvar Metro station. On both lines you will need to change at Tverskaya or Pushkinskaya to the Grey Line. Godzillas is one stop from here.

Domodedovo Airport (DME)

Domodedovo (Dom-mo-de-do-vo) is located in the south of the city and is the hub for many international carriers (British Airways, BMI, Thai, Emirates etc...).

Express Train - There is an express train (Aeroexpress) that goes to the centre (Paveletsky train station). The journey time is 45 – 50 minutes and the fare is R200. Trains leave hourly or every 30 minutes at peak times.
The Aeroexpress station is located in the basement in the middle of Paveletsky Train Station. The Metro is also linked to the station

To get to Godzillas from Paveletsky Station – Take the Metro Green Line to Tverskaya Metro Station (3 stops). Then transfer onto the Grey Line for one stop at Tsvetnoi Bulvar Metro.

Shuttle Buses – Regular shuttle buses also run between Domodovskaya & Yugo-Zapadnaya Metro stations to Domodedovo airport.

Vnukovo Airport

Vnukovo (Vnu-ko-va) is located in the South West of the city and is mostly used by budget and charter airlines. German Wings flies here.

Express Train - There is an express train (Aeroexpress) that goes to the centre (Kievskys Train Station). The journey time is 45 – 50 minutes and the fare is R200. Trains leave mostly hourly.

At Kievsky Station you need to leave the main station. The Vnukovo Aeroexpress Terminal entrance is around the corner on the left-hand side.

Train Stations

In Moscow there are six main train stations. They are all fairly centrally located and only a few Metro stops away from Godzillas.

Trains-Siberian Routes - Yaroslavsky Station – Komosomolskaya Metro (Red & Brown lines) – 2 Stops away from Godzillas

St. Petersburg, Helsinki & Tallinn - Leningradsky Station – Komosomolskaya Metro (Red & Brown lines) – 2 Stops away from Godzillas

Riga - Rizhsky Station – Rizhskaya Metro (Orange Line) – 3 Stops away from Godzillas

Kiev - Kievsky Station – Kievskaya Metro (Brown & Blue lines) – 4 stops away from Godzillas

Warsaw, Minsk & Vilnius – Belorussky Station – Belorusskaya Metro (Green & Brown Lines) – 2 Stops away from Godzillas
