Trelawn Place

Trelawn Place is a country home offering luxury bed and breakfast 5 minutes (4km) drive from central Queenstown. Set amongst 2 acres of gardens, the colonial style home is on the edge of the famous Shotover River and surrounded by dramatic mountains including Coronet Peak ski field.

Each room features king sized beds and has been furnished with antique style furniture and country style decor. Every item for your comfort and convenience has been included. The cosy breakfast and sitting rooms, with the outdoor seating areas gives you the opportunity to socialize with other guests. Breakfast is a delicious selection of home made goodies, with a generous cooked course as well. Guests can catch up with their washing in the fully equipped laundry, and collect their emails from the guest computer.


The manicured lawn stretches to the rivers edge where, in total privacy guests can enjoy a six person therapy Jacuzzi spa pool. A large octagonal Gazebo, takes full advantage of Trelawn's stunning river view, and makes a shady place to relax. Some guests prefer to have a candle light dinner here with dishes from the restaurant meals delivery service that is available.

For those that would like help in organising their stay in the Queenstown area, there is a select range of brochures available for you to browse or simply ask your hosts to make suggestions. They can co-ordinate activities to make best use of time and money. There is a helipad for Helicopter Sightseeing, or even airport transfers.

Directions

Take Highway 6a into Queenstown, just follow the signs from the airport, if you are coming from there, at the third roundabout, after you have come down the hill past the new big hotels, turn right into Gorge road, the signs at the corner are 'Arrowtown' 'Coronet Peak', travel for 5 minutes (4 km) towards Arthurs Point. The two blue signposts are on the right, Watties Track and Trelawn Place. If you are coming from Arrowtown, come up the hill past the Arthurs Point Pub, slow down at the top, the two blue signs are 100m ahead, swing wide to your right to approach the entrance on your left. Come down through the trees, past the first two houses, under the rock bluff and take the next road off to the left. Drive slowly.
