Oasis Hostel

Come and meet travellers from all over the world in the perfect setting at Oasis Hostel. You'll find us in the chilled beach town of Puerto Vallarta surrounded on three sides by mountains and lush tropical vegetation.

Oasis is an experience for backpackers, students, young travellers from across the world, groups and those who just wanna chill out and have a beach vacation. We're located outside of the main tourist strip in a typical Mexican 'barrio' so you can get a feel for the real Mexico whilst still being close enough to access the beach, shops, nightlife etc. We pride ourselves on our chilled atmosphere and on the fun our guests have (check out our reviews!) - there's loads to do around here, from surfing to scuba diving, boat tours to horse-riding, tanning on the beach and partying through the night... Or just chilling out and soaking up some sun on our roof terrace with good music and a cold beer :)


Devotedly run by my family, we are a Green Hostel that cares. We have a UV filter to fill up on drinking water so you don't have to buy plastic bottles, our hot water is provided by a pass-heater that only works on demand to avoid waste and we also have a hidroponic micro-farm on our roof that produces tomatoes and chillies. Besides that we recycle bottles, separate waste and are energy conscious by minimizing electricity usage at all times.


We like to think we are not just a place to stay but also a cultural happening. At tourist locations in the center you could be forgiven for thinking you're actually in the US, whereas here you really get a flavor of genuine Mexican life with a welcoming Mexican family. The beach is a fifteen-minute walk away or 3 minutes on a bus, while the town centre is twenty minutes on foot or 9 on the bus. The transport services are excellent and pass right outside the hostel so you shouldn't have any trouble getting out and about, and we make the short trip here more than worth it with our friendly neighbourhood environment and our facilities.


The rooms at Oasis are clean and cosy with a Mexican touch. We provide a fully-equipped communal kitchen/dining room and a TV Room with DVD collection as well as free cable and internet for our guests. Not to mention the home-cooked breakfast that will be prepared for you each morning, the guitars that the musicians amongst our guests serenade us with and the ever-popular roof terrace to escape from the world and relax in a hammock or a sun lounger...

Directions

NOTE: follow these DIRECTIONS SPECIFICALLY

- From the BUS TERMINAL:
take a BLUE & WHITE BUS that goes CENTRO to Vallarta.
Get off at the end of the Line. Walk to Badillo Street and take any bus that goes through the TUNEL. Get off after passing the small tunnel at the traffic light. The hostel is on your right about 20 metres back. The secon bus ride is no more than 4 minutes.

- From the AIRPORT:
take ANY Blue and White bus that goes through the 'TUNEL'. Ask to be dropped off in 'El REMANCE' area.

- There are NO specific stops so..

- Be ready to get off after the LONG or first TUNEL and just after passing the CUALE RIVER BRIDGE. The bus will drop you off at the traffic lights.

-Approximately 50 meters down across the street on your RIGHT is the OASIS (the gold and green building).
