This forms the basis for our trips, so if you enjoy getting out and about and being active and want to see New Zealand close up, one of our trips is what you’ve been looking for.

What do you want from your New Zealand experience?

People have different levels of adventure they want from their experience so we have developed 2 different types of adventures for you to choose from.

Want a hiking orientated adventure? Would love to spend heaps of time out camping amongst some of New Zealand’s most inspiring scenery? Also want a few day hikes with the odd night of comfort with all the creature comforts hotel style accommodation affords – like a hot shower!
Want to try heaps of other amazing activities whilst still experiencing all of the culture and scenery in between your outdoor adventures? All this while travelling with a small (max trip size 8 persons) group of like minded people.

Like to do bit hiking but also want to experience a heap of different activities. Want an awesome variety of day hikes with other great adventures like sea kayaking all whilst returning to your hotel style accommodation most nights for that well deserved hot shower. We’ll also throw in a cool overnight adventure or 2 for that wilderness experience.

In New Zealand for a short time and want an enjoyable one day adventure?
We also operate 2 uniquely different day adventures from Christchurch. So if you’re in the South Island and looking for a great day out why not try one of our Canterbury Day Walk adventures.

We aim to give you a true outdoor New Zealand experience – not seeing the country through a bus window! We want you to have the ultimate sensory adventure so that you leave knowing New Zealand not just seeing it.

Typical Day

After breakfast your day begins with an amazing helicopter ride up on to the Franz Joseph glacier where a professional guide will take you on a 2 hour guided walk amongst the pinnacles and caves of the glacier. After your return we will have lunch in Franz Joseph before driving further south for a stroll around the stunning Lake Matheson that provides us with unparalled views of the Southern Alps. A short drive down the coast takes us to the South Westland township of Haast which is our destination for the night.

Sleeping and meals

During your trip with us we stay in a variety of accommodation. On our overnight hikes we stay in huts located throughout our national parks, and when staying in towns we stay in hotel/apartment style accomodation. We also have the oppourtunity to stay in some amazing camping grounds. Meals are cooked by your guide and we have the chance to eat out at some local resurants.

Restrictions

Our trips are not suited to people under the age of 15. For persons between the ages of 15 - 18 we reccomend they are accompanied by an adult.

Other Information

Our trip price does not include air fares to and from New Zealand, and accomodation before or after the specified trip dates.
We have negotiated a special room rate at a central city hotel in Christchurch so please enquire when booking.
