On rainy days you can chill out in a movie theatre room which has SKY TV featuring lastest sport & movies and on sunnier days there are hammocks and lots of outdoor areas to laze in. Fantastic staff offer genuine hospitality and enthusiastically share local knowledge.

Sequoia Lodge Backpackers is the perfect base from which to explore the world famous Marlborough Sounds or walk the Queen Charlotte Track. Or maybe you'll want to kick back for a while and use the hostel as a place to plan your whole South Island trip. Either way we're sure that you'll enjoy your stay.

Directions

As you drive into Picton you come to a square with a very tall Sequoia Tree. Our hostel is diagonally opposite the Sequoia Tree (look for the green wall). We are a short walk from the main street and ferry terminal but do offer free pick ups and drop offs at ferries, buses and water taxis (8am-9.30pm). For cars and vans we have a large, off-street car park.
If you would like to be picked up from the terminal, please let us know in advance!
