Youthhostel Boenigen Iyha

Our official youthhostel is a first class place to relax and meet people. The hostel lies right at the shore of Lake Brienz and is in the middle of stunning natural surroundings. It offers a huge lawn with tabletennis, badminton, soccer and volleyballfields. You cannot only amaze and enjoy yourself, you sleep well in the peaceful location, too. We are not one of the party hostels. If you need a break from the cities, relax in our hostel for a couple of days. Interlaken is not far away: after a half an hour's walk along the water you are in the town centre.

A dream with real advantages. Our guests make their dreams come true at Bönigen. The location on the lake is the best starting point for all water sports enthusiasts. Kayaking, swimming, river rafting, canyoning, etc. The climbing specialists and the Jungfrau enthusiasts enjoy the quiet before storming the summit. You rent bikes at the hostel for fantastic rides in the lake or mountain area. The youth hostel is also a convenient stop-over on the Aare bike path or an overnight stop for the public of the renowned Tellspiele Interlaken.


You will enjoy the high standards of the Swiss Youth Hostel Association. Our local staff is keen on helping you to spend a great time in the Jungfrau Area.

Directions

By train to Interlaken-Ost. From the station 2 km, 25 minutes' walking distance along the river (upstream) to the hostel. Or take Bus no. 3 to Lütschinenbrücke/Youthhostel bus stop and then walk 300 meters to the hostel. With our guestcard the public buses are free of charge.
