
Our newest 5 star hostel which was previously a converted farmhouse, is set at the bottom of Knockree, overlooking Glencree Mountains. The hostel reopened in April 2008 after a €4m investment. The Wicklow Way passes through the hostel grounds and so the ideal location for hillwalkers. Knockree hostel boasts all the usual characteristics of a top rated 5 star property including en-suite rooms, family rooms, meeting room, self catering kitchen, full car & coach parking and internet access. All rooms have a spectular view of the amazing scenery that surrounds this hostel. Especially amazing is our Double Deluxe Room - also dubbed our 'Honeymoon Suite' - see picture 3...
PLEASE NOTE:
* Hostelling International members receive a € 2 discount p.p. per night on arrival on production of a valid membership card.
* You are advised to bring your own food as no shops close by and meals facilities currently limited to breakfast.

* We do not accept bookings for more than 10 people. Any such booking will be cancelled and the deposit will not be refunded. Pleae email groups@anoige.ie for group bookings of 10 pax or more.
* Our 4bed 'Family Rooms' have a 'Houston' type bunkbed (double bottom, single on top) + an extra single. If you require a 3bed Family, book a 4bed then contact us directly.
* Our Double / Twin room has 2 single beds; these can be easily configured into a double if required, please email us. The 'Double Deluxe' has a double bed.

Directions
CAR:
From Dublin get onto M50, go towards Bray, eventually turns into N11.
Turn off direction of Enniskerry. Once in Enniskerry town centre, go up the Glencree Road (right around the monument in the centre), continue approx. 3 miles. Turn left at Hostel sign, continue, then take next sharp right turn at Hostel sign. Continue for approx 1 mile until you find our hostel on right-hand side

PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
Get to Bray (from Dublin via D.A.R.T.). From Bray station, take bus 185 (€ 1.70 correct change only), all the way to last stop, 'Shop River' (note: no actual shop there... ask driver). Get off the bus, keep walking (same direction as the bus was going). Turn left at Hostel sign, continue, then take next sharp right turn at Hostel sign. Continue for approx 1 mile until you find our hostel on right-hand side. Walking time approx. 40 mins.
Alternatively (slightly cheaper - takes longer) you could take bus 44C from Dublin all the way to Enniskerry town centre, then change to the 185 bus there.
