BORDERS BEYOND , formally known as NZ BACKPACKERS INN, Auckland, under new management since 13/11/08, offers you low cost, quality accommodation, and is just a 15 minute walk or 5 mins by bus to the city centre.It is close to bars, cafes, entertainment, supermarkets, banks, shops, car hire and markets, zoo, museum and Mt Eden. Borders Beyond is a medium-sized, quiet, secure and homely hostel.

The accommodation consists of clean and tidy single and double rooms, all with double beds and T.V, and the separate male/female dormitories have either 4,5, or 6 beds for the same price.We provide shared toilets, and cooking facilities and a self service laundry. There is a cosy common room with T.V, and internet, telephone and fax are available. A cost of 50cents is charged for a 6 minute hot water shower.

Directions

From the airport you have a choice of taxi -cost $70- or shuttle bus to our door -$30 for 1 person or $18 ea for 2. If you take Airbus-cost $15 ea- then get off at City Rd and walk towards Great North Rd, or get off at Queen St and catch 'Link' Bus to Cnr Ponsonby Rd and Great North Rd. Nixon St is on your right straight after the Ford and Mazda Car Yard. If you get to McDonald’s on your left you have missed Nixon St. which is first street on your left off Great North Rd.
