Mingtown Etour International Youth Hostel

The Mingtown Etour Hostel is located in the most developed city in China – Grand Shanghai! It's conveniently located at the center of the city – right in the People's Square district.
The entire hostel is built in old-fashioned Shanghai residential style, and the flat construction design distinguishes it from skyscraper hotels. It has its own central courtyard as an open area for guest activities. The building’s traditional brick façade suits the surroundings well, and opens directly onto the cultural attractions of one of Shanghai’s Nong Tong (old-style narrow streets).

The hostel holds 20 standard rooms and over one hundred bunk beds. Onsite facilities include a full service restaurant, bar, self-service laundry, common area internet terminals, as well as a business center. All staff members speak moderate English, and are familiar with tourism points of interest and travel information. The hostel is also pleased to help guests with making travel arrangements and reservations.


An abundance of famous sightseeing attractions are within walking distance. Within five minutes walk, you can reach the Nanjing Road pedestrian shopping district, the Shanghai Museum, Shanghai Development Center, City Hall, and Grand Theater. Within 25 minutes, you can visit the Yuyuan Garden, The Bund, and the Temple of Culture. On special occasions, you can even watch fireworks and national holiday ceremonies right from the hostel balcony!

Walk towards it about 5 minutes, then in front of ICBC bank turn left to Huangpi Rd., walk forward another 2 minutes, see a small lane perpendicular to Huangpi Rd.& south to Mingtian Square, confirm the lane road sign writes “JiangYin Rd.”, enter it with 2minutes walk you arrive the hostel. Please be mindful of the Hung Symbol of IYHF/YHA and the house number 55.
F. From Shuttle Bus No.5 Yan’an Rd. Station:
After getting off from shuttle bus No5, walk towards the north along Chengdu Rd., about 5 minutes later you could see Jiangyin Rd. at the right roadside where many small shops sell flowers, birds and fishes. Walk along this Jiangyin Rd. about 3 minutes, you arrive the hostel. Please be mindful of the Hung Symbol of IYHF/YHA and the house number 55.
G. From Bus No.925 People’s Square Station：
After getting off from bus No 925 ,walking forward along Wusheng Rd. ,about 3 minutes later turn right to the Huangpi Rd., walk another 6 minutes, you will see a high building with peaked cap--the JW Marriott Hotel Building at Tomorrow Square. The small lane beside its south gate is Jiangyin Rd., enter it with 2minutes walk you arrive the hostel. Please be mindful of the Hung Symbol of IYHF/YHA and the house number 55.
H. From Bus No.109 Huangpi Rd. Station(People’s Square)：
After getting off from bus No.109, walk along Huangpi Rd., about 4 minutes later you will see a high building with peaked cap--the JW Marriott Hotel Building at Tomorrow Square.
