Shantz Haus Hostel

Shantz Haus is a small boutique hostel located in the heart of downtown Courtenay.

It is easily accessible to all the shops, restaurants, pubs and attractions. From the hostel you can also easily get to the mountains to hike and ski, the local biking trails or down to the water.

Shantz Haus has the ambience of a B&B in addition to all the conveniences of a hostel which include a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, cozy common room with fireplace, library with games, patio with barbeque and parking, and storage for sports equipment.

Complimentary linens and lockers are provided along with 24 hour acces for registered guests. Registration check in times are in the mornings until 11:30am and from 4:30 to 9pm in the evenings.

Directions

Shantz Haus is located in downtown Courtenay, on Vancouver Island, within walking distance of the train (1/2km) and bus station (2km). Shantz Haus is on the local bus service route that runs close to the bus station.
If coming by car from down Island you take the Courtenay turn off and at the first set of lights (Cumberland Road) you turn left. This will take you into town where you will pass through a traffic circle. At the first set of lights following the traffic circle you trun left onto Fitzgerald and at the next stop sign which is Fifth street you turn left. The hostel is the third building on the left hand side.
