Compass Del Sur

The 'Compass del Sur' gives you a mixture of Chilean & Scandinavian flair, we speak Chileno, Svenska, English and Deutsch. We are located, only a 5 minute walk from the town centre and the bus terminals, on a charming street of classic colonial style houses, typical of German architecture, right along side the city park - Philippi, train station and the old Casino.

Our guests have free use of our enormous kitchen and its fully equipped facilities. We can offer a healthy breakfast including muesli, porridge or eggs, fruit and fresh brewed coffee. The spacious bedrooms are equipped with very comfortable double box spring beds. A spacious living and dining area with an internet lounge (for free) gives you a relaxing, cozy and welcoming ambience. The house has a lovely garden patio, a section for camping and free private parking for our guests.

Directions

All of the major chilean bus companies stop in Puerto Varas. Except Cruz del Sur all the bus terminals are located in the city centre within easy walking distance to Compass del Sur (just walk up the steps at the end of San Francisco, then turn to the left, and there you are).

If you arrive in Puerto Montt, regular minibuses to Puerto Varas leave every 5 minutes from the Puerto Montt bus terminal and cost about 1 USD. We also offer you OUR SPECIAL TRANSFER from Puerto Montt Airport or Harbour directly to Compass del Sur. Just send us an email and ask for this service.
