Escape the noise of Seattle! You can take a 25 minute ferry ride to the heart of the Puget Sound and visit Vashon Island, situated between Tacoma and Seattle on a beautiful rural island.
The hostel's hand-hewn log cabin was made from the Douglas firs that grew on the 10-acre estate.
There are nine Indian Sioux teepees for families or couples, antique covered wagons for singles, dorms or B&B quality rooms for the less adventurous.

Directions
Free pickup from Vashon Thriftway
From I-5 (Seattle) take exit 163A to West Seattle, follow signs to Fauntleroy Ferry Dock (for autos and Passengers).
From I-5 (Tacoma) take exit 132, follow signs to Vashon Island and the Point Defiance Ferry Dock.
From Sea-Tac Airport, catch bus 570 direct to Fauntleroy Ferry (Mon-Fri, 6am to 6pm) every 20 min. and takes 20 minutes to the ferry dock.
From downtown Seattle, foot passengers only, runs mon - Fri with limited service, on weekends you must take bus 54 from 3rd and Pike or 2nd and Columbia ( NOT 1st and Union) to the Fauntleroy.
Once on the island, catch any bus to the Thriftway Grocery Store in Vashon and call hostel on free phone inside the store for your free pickup.
