
The Cnocnafeola Centre is located in the heart of the Mourne Mountains, Atticall, Co Down, Northern Ireland.
Offering state of the art accommodation facilities for trekkers and visitors to the Mourne District in Northern Ireland, the newly built Cnocnafeola Centre rests in the tranquil surroundings of Atticall, a village in the very heart of the world famous Mourne Mountains.
Local attractions include horse riding, golf, fishing, climbing, sailing, wind surfing and spectacular sight-seeing.
The 31 bed centre boasts of excellent budget accommodation. All rooms are Ensuite with a mixture of 3 x 2, 4 x 4, 1 x 8, 1 x 3 bed rooms. (You may purchase Bed - Linen & Towels)
The centre provides secure car parking, laundry facilities, bike storage, lockers, self catering kitchen, lounge, restaurant and conference suite. The Restaurant offers good quality, affordable meals offering only fresh produce and catering for a variety of dietary needs (Especially Vegetarians). It is managed by a local Home – Economics Teacher who has also spent some time in Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork – run by Darinna Allen. Many of her recipes are on the menu at the centre.

Directions
From Dublin
Follow directions for North/Belfast.
You will cross into Northern Ireland shortly after the Dundalk bypass (there are no customs or border markings) then follow signs into Newry city centre.
From Newry take the A2 to Warrenpoint, through Rostrevor and follow road for Kilkeel. After approx. 6 miles heading towards Kilkeel, there is a signpost for a left turn to Atticall. (The signpost is on the right hand side of the road pointing to a left turn, signpost also has B&B and community centre on it). Follow road for 3 miles into Atticall village, go past church shop and school on the left and the centre is also on the left immediately after the school.
From BelfastFollow directions for Newcastle.
From Newcastle continue along coast, taking the A2 to Kilkeel. In Kilkeel continue into centre of town, on the hill just before the traffic lights there is a small road on the right signposted for Atticall (Mountain Road). Follow this road for approx. 3 miles until you come to a left turn signposted Atticall, follow road down towards village and we on the right entering the village.
If coming through the Spelga Pass from Hilltown or Castlewellan follow the road towards Kilkeel, pass Cnocnafeola Wood on the right and continue until right turn signposted Atticall. Take road down towards village and centre is on the right entering the village.
Also follow the sign for Hillview B&B or Atticall Community Centre, we are on the same route.
Transport can be arranged from Kilkeel. Approx £3 stg. for a taxi.
