Surrounding Area
Vers is a small village deep in the South of France, not a tourist village. It sits on a hill surrounded surrounded by agriculture and garrigue jungle. It has a wonderful wine cave coop, and stone quarries used by the Romans.
It is fun to walk through the garrigue to the Pont du Gard, the spectacular crossing of the canyon by stone built 2000 years ago. On the way, you walk past 2000-year-old aqueduct ruins, and the old church of St Pierre.
Accommodations
A separate side of my house is available, with two levels, three large bedrooms and two bathrooms. The house is made of stone and is more than 500 years old. The village boulangerie is right around the corner.
Don't miss the fabulous Sat morning open air market in Uzes with the best shopping in the South of France. The nearby medieval village of Castillon sits perched on a hill with fantastic restaurants and art exhibits.
Rooms/Suites
Extra beds are available for the 3 bedrooms if needed. There is a bathroom on each level with shower.
Amenities
You have a full kitchen, woodstove, and courtyard with BBQ to enjoy. Watch the men play petanque at the village plaza, enjoy a pastis at the bar, everywhere you turn there is a picture-- this is the land of Van Gogh.
