Riga Old Town Hostel & Backpackers Pub

Riga Old Town Hostel is run by backpackers FOR backpackers. We are a Hostel in its true meaning and we even have a Bar and a Sauna in our main building!

OUR PRIVATE ROOMS ARE IN A SEPARATE BUILDING VERY CLOSE TO THE MAIN HOSTEL. COME TO THE HOSTEL RECEPTION TO CHECK IN.

Private guests are welcome to use the facilities in the main hostel building at anytime. Bar, Sauna, Wifi and internet is in our main building.

OUR PRIVATE ROOMS HAVE NO WIFI OR INTERNET.

On Tuesdays we have a live music evening. This is also Backpackers night where you will find good discounted prices on beds if you book online. Sit and enjoy our Backpackers Pub, where great people, local and foreign come together to share experiences, have fun or just read a book!


If you are a musician and want to play here, just ask the staff on arrival or email us in advance. We aim to be creative in the space we have and you are welcome to join in with us.

The en suite rooms are located 4 mins on foot from the reception, so please give us a note about your arrival time (especially if it is after 22:00)

Private rooms (not en suite) are 2 rooms in one apartment and are located next to the main hostel building.

Directions

For the Hostel you have to come to Valnu street 43, that is in the Old Town and form here you can meet one of our cool staff members. If you have a private room we will take you to the Raina Boulevard (that is 4 min walk from here) and show you to your room.

Coming by Air?
-from the airport-bus 22 till the stop called shopping centre STOCKMANN. Then go through the underpass to cross the street. Then continue straight about 20 metres.

To get to Valnu street 43 from bus station and train terminal-
-you don't need public transport if you arrive by bus or train even with a heavy backpack you will walk only about 5 minutes (see the map)
-from the bus station you should go under the railway bridge (left from the bus station exit), and afterwards go through the underpass to cross the street. Then continue straight for about 20 metres.
-from the train station-exit the train station and turn to the left. Continue along the street (on the left is a solid STOCKMAN'S building) till you reach the staircase which will lead you down to the underpass. Go through the underpass to cross the street and then continue straight for about 20 metres.
-from the airport-bus 22 till the stop called shopping centre STOCKMANN. Then go through the underpass to cross the street. Then continue straight about 20 metres.

For hitch-hikers and cyclists
-try to get to the old town then use the map- (the map you can print off after clicking the blue house and tree symbol on the front page of our site.

If you come by car, you can park outside to check in but parking laws on our street change alot so we will advise a place in secure parking close to us.
