Surrounding Area

The Adventure Inn is in Ciudad Cariari, a prestigious, safe and convenient neighborhood in the picturesque, mountainous outskirts of San Jose, only six minutes from the international airport. Therefore we are very convenient without the thundering sound of jet planes. The area offers wonderful peaceful walks through the parks, along the golf courses, to many fine dining restaurants, and further, the large new Cariari Mall and Cineplex theatre. There are large, posh hotels nearby with casinos, and entertainment venues. Bustling San Jose, with its Central Market, promenade shopping street, museums, zoo, business district, and exciting nightlife zone is about ten minutes away by car, taxi or bus leaving out front.

The Adventure Inn is a modern three star hotel with spacious well-appointed lines, four guest computers with flat screen monitors, and broadband WiFi throughout the hotel, a back-up electricity generator, and 24 hour security guards

Rooms/Suites

Adventure Inn's thirty four spacious new deluxe rooms all have two comfortable queen-size orthopedic beds, cable TV with over sixty channels in Spanish and English, direct dial phones, internet access for your laptop and WiFi, a small writing table and chairs, wake-up service and daily maid service. All rooms have large private tiled bathrooms, some with Jacuzzis.

Amenities

After a day in the steamy rainforests, or paddling down the whitewater rapids of a clean mountain river, tone up in our fully equipped ten piece gym before relaxing those tired muscles and unwind in our new Jacuzzi hot tub . All of our guests can enjoy a full complimentary day in the sun at nearby "WaterLand", a private club with several pools, slides, mini-golf and go-carts. Then as the sun goes down enjoy our cute little Mayan Restaurant and Sports Bar, open until 11pm serving delicious reasonably priced full meals, or lighter snacks, as you watch your favorite sport or other program on one of four TV's, or compare stories of your Costa Rican experiences with others.

Services Offered

Each morning we offer a complimentary exotic, full American-style all-you-can-eat breakfast, which is a Costa Rican learning experience in its own right. We have a professional masseuse and manicurist on staff who offers her services after 2pm most days by appointment.

Restrictions

The Adventure Inn offers rooms for the physically challenged, as well as smoking and non-smoking rooms. In certain guest rooms we allow well-behaved pets with approval, but of course you must take full responsibility that your pet does not disturb other guests.

Directions

We are 1 block east of the Los Arcos main gate, in Ciudad Cariari, San Jose, Costa Rica. Coming from the airport take the main highway east towards San Jose, (follow all signs to the Melia Cariari) and exit to the right just under the Francisco J. Orlich bridge (first overhead bridge about seven kilometers from the airport), then go straight ahead for a mile, and you will see the Los Arcos main gate on your right. Turn towards it then turn left one block.

Discounts Offered

We offer a 10% discount to seniors, industry professionals, and students, environmentalists, and volunteer workers. Children under 5 years are free, and between 5 and 12 are half price when sharing accommodation with an adult. We have low weekly and monthly discount rates which must be paid by cash or travelers cheques.
