B&b Macchia Di Pele

Located on the side of a hill on the coastal road between Castro e S.Cesarea terme, Bed and Breakfast Macchia di Pele has brilliant views over the Adriatic Sea. The house is covers two floors: on the first floor there is a living room with a wide terrace open towards the sea and two bedrooms with two bathrooms. Downstairs there are two bathrooms and three rooms with door-windows overlooking the sea. The house is mostly built with the typical stone present all over the Adriatic coast.

Our garden features a long staircase to the coastal road and after crossing the road, the beach is 100 metres away, near the Grotta Zinzulusa. For the use of all guests there is a reading lounge, internet access and a barbeque.


Breakfast is included in the price and is served from 8.30 a.m. until 10 a.m. During the summer time, breakfast will be served on a splendid terrace overlooking the sea.

It takes about 5 minutes to reach the port (by car) and the tiny town square
of Castro Marina. A short walk up the hill behind the guesthouse will allow you to get to Castro Città (the historic centre, on the headland over Castro Marina).

Directions

By Car:

From the Highway A14, exit Bari sud, take the Tangenziale of Bari, after the toll booth, about 1 km away, take the main road Bari - Brindisi – Lecce.

Before arriving to Lecce, take the Tangenziale of Lecce to Maglie.

After 25 km exit at Poggiardo/Castro/S. Cesarea.

Once you get to Castro Marina, go on towards S. Cesarea (coastal road). After 2 km you get to Grotta Zinzulusa and three curves next you'll find, on your left, a little asphalted road going up to the hill of Macchia di Pele.

By Train:

From the Lecce railway station take the train of Ferrovie Sud-est (route Lecce-Maglie-Gagliano) and get off at Spongano station, where the Bed & Breakfast pick-up is available (please book in advance).

By Airplane:

The Brindisi airport is 80 km away (bus leaving every hour for the Brindisi railway station). Airport pick up on demand.
