Favela Receptiva

Favela Receptiva is an amazing and different way of being a guest in a 'Favela'.

Here you will be in close contact with nature. In the immediate surroudings you will find: Pedra da Gavea, Pedra Bonita (Famous for its hang gliding and paragliding ramp), waterfalls and the beaches of Sao Conrado and Pepino.

Villa Canoas is a special 'favela' nearby the famous 'Rocinha', which is the biggest favela of Latin America. It is located inside the Atlantic Rainforest. Here you will find the authentic 'carioca' lifestyle, filled with parties, in a safe and simple environment.

With a maximum number of 3 people per room and different decoration in each one, you will find very nice and confortable accomodation for a very good price. We have a great hostel structure, allowed to the independence of being in different houses spread by Vila Canoas community (A small 'favela' with 3.000 people). The hostel can bring you in contact with local NGO´s, where you can work as a volunteer.

Directions

You can take a bus to and from all parts of the city, 24 hours a day. São Conrado is located between Leblon and Barra da Tijuca - 10 minutes from each beach, 40 minutes from the International Airport and 20 minutes from downtown. Check our website for step by step.
