University Of Aberdeen - King's Halls

King's Hall is conveniently located just off College Bounds in Old Aberdeen less than 2 miles from the city centre. This accommodation is available all year round and is of a 2 star standard. All rooms include an ensuite shower room with WC and wash hand basin, toiletries, colour television, hairdryer, trouser press, complimentary tea and coffee, bed linen and towels. All beds are single. There are also twin rooms with two single beds available.

Meals
Breakfast is served in Zeste Café located in the adjacent Crombie Hall at the following times:

Monday – Saturday: 7.30am – 9.30am

Sunday: 8am – 9.30am

The Zeste Café is also open for morning or afternoon coffee and lunch, Monday to Friday.


Access to University Sports facilities on campus is also available at a separate charge. Facilities include swimming pool, gym, tennis courts and playing fields.

Directions

FROM INVERNESS AND THE NORTH
Take the A96 to Aberdeen via Inverurie. Once you approach the City you will find this is a long road, broken only by a series of roundabouts. This road then becomes Auchmill Road and then Great Northern Road. At St. Machar Drive roundabout, turn left on the the Drive (A978) and after going straight across the first roundabout turn right at the second roundabout onto King Street. Turn right after the playing fields onto University Road and proceed to the top.

The Gateway to the accommodation can be accessed by turning left here then immediately right. Once through the gates, turn right, then left and you will find King's Hall (a modern building directly ahead). Registration will be in the foyer of Crombie Hall unless otherwise stated.

FROM PETERHEAD AND THE NORTH
Take the A90 to Aberdeen. Once you approach the City you will require the right hand lane. Once over the bridge of the River Don, continue straight down King Street. At the next roundabout cross straight over.

Directly after the playing fields on the right, turn right into University Road. The gateway to the accommodation can be accessed by turning left here then immediately right. Once through the gates, turn right, then left and you will find King's Hall (a modern building directly ahead). Registration will be in the foyer of Crombie Hall unless otherwise stated.

FROM THE WEST
You will approach Aberdeen along the A93. Turn left onto Anderson Drive at the lights by the Amatola Hotel.

At the 4th roundabout (a landmark is a large radio mast) turn right into Cairncry Road. At the roundabout take the second left into Hilton Street. At the bottom of Hilton Street go straight on into Leslie Road. At the next roundabout continue across, downhill towards the sea on St. Machar Drive (A978). Go straight on at the first roundabout and at the second roundabout turn right into King Street. After the playing fields on the right turn into University Road.

At the top of the road the Gateway to the accommodation can be access by turning left and immediately right. Once through the gates, turn right, then left and you will find King's Hall (a modern building directly ahead). Registration will be in the foyer of Crombie unless otherwise stated.

FROM THE SOUTH
From the Stonehaven Road (A90) progress to the first roundabout. Take the second turning on the left over the bridge of the River Dee to the second roundabout. Go straight across and progress up Anderson Drive. This is a long drive, broken only by a series of roundabouts and traffic lights. At the 5th roundabout (a landmark is a large radio mast) turn right into Cairncry Road. At the roundabout take the second left into Hilton Street. FROM THE AIRPORT
Proceed out of the car park onto Argyll Road. At traffic lights turn left onto Dyce Drive. At roundabout turn left onto the A96 Inverurie Road. This is a very long road broken only by a series of roundabouts. This road then becomes Auchmill Road and then Great Northern Road. At St. Machar Drive roundabout turn left onto the Drive (A978) and after the roundabout proceed to the second roundabout. Turn right here onto King Street. After the playing fields on the right, turn into University Road.

FROM THE TRAIN STATION
The ferry and bus terminals are in this area. Turn left out of the car park onto Guild Street and take a right turn to Bridge Street . At the traffic lights turn right onto Union Street, proceed along Union Street and King Street (for approximately 1 mile) until you see a large graveyard on your left. Turn second left after this into University Road.
