$30 nightly (dorm rate) includes the 8% bed tax , which is added upon arrival. $27.78 nightly rate is reflected here.

Great Location near the campus of University of Alaska and directly on the city bus.

We have several room types, some private, and some dorms. There are generally no more than 4 persons to a room.


NOTE: we make every effort to seperate the sexes, HOWEVER in the busy summer months the arrangement may be CO-ED.

There are daily shuttles from the hostel to Denali, Anchorage, Valdez, Dawson City, Whitehorse and other locations.

Billie's Backpacker Hostel is a great place to begin your adventure in interior Alaska and you won't find a place with a more comfortable friendly atmosphere.

Please Note: We are a small hostel, with no Credit processing capability at this time. You may use credit to make a reservation (NON-Refundable deposit), but will need cash for the balance upon arrival.

Directions

BY SHUTTLE: If you are coming from Whitehorse, Denali, Dawson City, Anchorage or other locations by shuttle, ask your driver to drop you off here.
BY TRAIN
We are a 15 minute walk (5 min drive) from the depot. Cross the hwy to Danby Rd, walk down Danby to College Rd, make a left. Make a left on Westwood.
BY CAR
The hostel is located about 10 minutes by car (45 min walk) from the Fairbanks International Airport and a 10 minute drive from downtown Fairbanks.

BY TAXI
Ask the Driver to take you to Billie's Backpackers on the corner of Westwood and Mack. The one-way fare should be about $16 from either the City Center, Airport or Rail Station.

BY CITY BUS (google: Fairbanks MACS)
City bus service is offered MON-SAT. From the Bus Depot take the Blue Line towards the Univeristy. Get off at Westwood Way. Walk one block. First building on the left. Look for the international flags

WALKING
From the City Center: (about a 25 minute walk). Walk North on Cushman until you come to College Road. Then left towards the University. Look for Westwood Way (about one mile after you pass by the State Fairgrounds). Left on Westwood. We are the first building on the left. a sign that says 'Billie's' and international flags flying marks the hostel.

From the Airport: (about an half hour walk). towards town on Airport Road, left on University Ave., right on College, right on Westwood Way. First building on the left. A sign that says 'Billie's' and international flags flying over the hostel..
