San Francisco Hostel & Lodge

This is a brand new hostel in downtown Cartago, which was the 1st colonial capital of Costa Rica since 1563. It is located in a quiet area and we provide luxurious large rooms equipped with kitchen, refrigerator, cable TV, and private bathrooms with hot water.

We are 3 blocks from the Cartago bus terminal, taxis, banks, stores, and souvenir shops. The Museum of Art, central market, Basilica of the Virgin of Los Angeles and the ruins of the Cathedral of Cartago are also within walking distance.

By car, public bus or taxi you can visit Irazú Volcano National Park, Lankaster Botanical Gardens and the city of Paraíso with it's lovely plaza and church.

Directions

We are 25 meters north from the northwest corner of Cartago's Central Market. We are on the left-hand side. Look for a yellow 2 storey building. From SACSA bus terminal, 2 and 1/4 blocks west and 1 1/4 blocks north (turn right) and you will see us!
