Quinta Dos Caracois

Quinta dos Caracois is a small holiday complex with family management. With very attractive apartments and villas sharing a swimming pool and is perfect for couples or families. Due to its elevated position, Quinta dos Caracóis has beautiful views overlooking both the Bay of Lagos and Praia da Luz. It is built in traditional style, consisting in, one bedroom apartments and two bedroom villas.
-One bedroom apartments are furnished to a high standard, have modern fitted kitchenettes with electric hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and are open-plan to a dining area, which has access through double glazed patio doors to a terrace. Lounge areas are well furnished and incorporate satellite TV, CD/radio cassette player. Double glazed patio doors, giving access to the terrace equipped with outside dinning furniture, which some enjoy views over the pool area and most enjoying views towards the bays of Lagos and Praia da Luz. The bedroom consists of a double or twin bed with en suite shower room and fitted wardrobe.
-Two bedroom villas are furnished to a high standard, have modern fitted kitchens with electric hob, oven, fridge/freezer, washing machine and are open-plan to a spacious dinning area, which has access through double glazed patio doors to a private terrace. Lounge areas are well furnished and incorporate satellite TV, CD/radio cassette player and an open fireplace, in which a “real” log fire can be enjoyed during the cooler months. Double glazed patio doors slide open giving access to the private terrace equipped with outside dining furniture, which all enjoy views over the pool area and most enjoying views towards the bays of Lagos and Praia da Luz.


This is a great choice for anyone not wishing to be reliant on a car - there is a bus stop just 300m from Caracóis with regular, inexpensive, services to nearby Lagos and Praia da Luz. Both these resorts are great for children - Praia da Luz has a safe, sandy beach banked by reasonably prices restaurants and bars.
Quinta dos Caracóis is also very close (500m) to the Boa Vista Golf Course.

The Funchal Ridge is one of the most prestigious, sought after areas in the western Algarve, situated on a hill with fantastic sea views, yet only three kilometres from both the safe, sandy beach at Praia da Luz and the historic, walled town of Lagos, once the capital of the western Algarve. Much of the Funchal Ridge is still undeveloped, flora and fauna abound and there are many possibilities for lovely walks from the property. A very quiet and secluded area.
Within a five minute drive of the Funchal Ridge are six or seven different types of beaches, some wide stretches of golden sand, some steep sided sheltered grottoes, some busy and some deserted, but all very beautiful. Superb sports facilities nearby include various water-sports, horse riding and four excellent golf courses.

TOWN OF LAGOS--- The historic, walled town of Lagos was once the capital of the western Algarve. It has a wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants and good night clubs. There is a fascinating daily fish market and a weekly tourist market in high season and the town has a cosmopolitan atmosphere with paved pedestrian areas and wide avenues. There is a fabulous marina, filled with opulent yachts, and with some excellent bars and restaurants overlooking the water. Dolphin watching trips are also available from the marina. The golden sands of Meia Praia beach stretch right around the bay of Lagos and the small, sandy coves and grottoes around the Ponta da Piedade provide secluded and sheltered sunbathing. There are superb sports facilities at or near Lagos including scuba diving, dive instruction, water-skiing, windsurfing microlite and golf.
Due to the motorway, only fifty minutes drive from Faro Airport .

Directions

Coming from Faro airport or from Lisbon, take the motorway A22, in roundabout to the center of Lagos turn right, after 1km, traffic lights,turn right and then left, look for Sign 'Quinta dos Caracois'
