Welcome all to Fern Loft Backpacker Hostel!!! Fern Loft is a well-maintained budget hostel, licensed by Singapore Tourism Board.

We are strategically located along East Coast Road. This area has evolved from an old traditional kampong (village) to a lively, exciting and colorful multi-national and cultural habitat for both the locals and expatriates.

Our eastern location offers several unique advantages; We are only ten minutes drive from the airport (great savings on airport transfer). For those who enjoy the sun and the sea, we are the only hostel near the beach (15 minutes stroll). You can choose to engage in sea sports, cycling, roller blade, cable sking or simply lazing the day away at the beach.


Singapore is known as a multicultural food paradise. At Fern Loft, you will find a belt of eateries nearby, offering the best of local cuisines such as Chinese, Indian, Malay, Peranakan (Specialty) and affordable exotic seafood. Variety is among the widest and prices are also among the lowest you can find on this island.

To town is never easier - we are just 8km to the bustling downtown (Chinatown,Little India and Merlion Park, Orchard Road etc). There is a well-connected public bus system that ferries you to town at incredible low price and without fuss. We are also just 10 min drive from the airport.

Fern Loft also enjoys close proximity to amenities such as shopping mall, supermarket, clinics, banks, post office, bus station, photo shops and 24hrs convenient store.

It is also worth mentioning our in-house facilities, which include, free use of pantry, free breakfast, free WIFI & unlimited internet access, bicycle rental and the best of all, we have an in-house Balinese pub, located just below the hostel. The pub offers wide range of international cocktail (Singapore sling), beer and lives music. About 5 stops away and cost $1.50. Alight at bus stop B14 outside Mandarin Garden. Walk north towards Siglap road, turn left when approached Siglap centre and walk along east coast road to hostel. We are above Georges MadBar. See map on image on how to walk there.

Travel By ECP and exit Bedok. Turn Left to Upper East Coast Road. Stop at the busstop after Siglap Centre (It should be on your right side). We are juz opp the road above Georges Madbar
