Welcome to Hostal Oliver. We are an English family run Hotel, where you can be sure of a warm welcome. The small and friendly resort of Cala Figuera has been described as one of the most beautiful ports to see in the Balearic Islands.

It is definitely not Magaluf but, in season, there is something for everybody’s taste, whether you wish to visit the beautiful port to enjoy fine wine, food and cocktails or just chill outside one of the bars in town, some of which play live music during the season(April-Oct).

There is an excellent diving school nearby with which we can communicate on your behalf (email directly after booking for more details). We have a tour desk which can arrange excursions to other attractions around the island, in Mallorca there is never a shortage of things to do. We have also been used as a base for groups on cycling and golfing holidays, special rates can be negotiated for larger groups.The essence, however, of a holiday in beautiful Cala Figuera is relaxation. There is some breathtaking scenery to be enjoyed - the village is a popular subject for many artists and photographers.
We are located in the south east of Mallorca, about 40km from Palma airport or ferry terminal.


We are only 200m from the port and also the nearest tourist accommodation, in Cala Figuera, to the beach (Cala Santanyi is about 2km from the hotel). Many other wonderful beaches are available within 5 Km, the most popular being Cala Mondrago and S'amarador - part of the Modrago natural park and recently rated in the Sunday Times top 10 beaches in the world . Here there are many species of birds to be seen and also a large botanical garden displaying mainly cacti.

The hotel itself has a variety of rooms from private singles to dorm rooms with 6 beds. We also have family rooms for 3 or 4 people. We are a great base for families who hire a car and wish to explore the island and welcome children. We are happy to provide a cot free of charge for babies aged 2 and under or an extra bed in a double room for children aged 5 and under. All of the rooms have a WC and bath or shower en-suite and a private balcony.

During the summer season (May to October) we have a restaurant serving breakfast available from 9am-12pm and then serving dinner from 6pm until 10pm. We also have a well stocked bar serving beer, wine and spirits open at the same times. We have English television and show all live sports events on Sky Sports.

Directions

A bus runs from Palma to Cala Figuera/Santanyi. In Cala Figuera we are the first tourist facility in the town on the right hand side. You are welcome to call us or email for more info about public transport.

Alternatively, follow the main road signposted Santanyi when you leave the airport. Santanyi is signposted all of the way, when you get to Santanyi follow the signs to Cala Figuera.

Taxis are available from the airport for around 55 euros, we may be able to offer private transfers by personal request. Please email or call for details.

We are on the fringe of the Mondrago Natural Park - recently rated in the Top 10 beaches in the world by the Sunday Times! The land train from Cala Figuera takes you here on 2 days of the week.

The very traditional Mallorquian town of Santanyi which really comes to life on Wednesday and Saturday - market days. The land train goes here on both days.

10 miles from Cala D'Or which is a lively resort and very popular with holiday makers. The glass bottom boat goes here from Cala Figuera harbour.
