Zapato Amarillo (Yellow Shoe) is a small chalet with a grass roof and wooden interior embedded into countryside of extraordinary beauty.
Our family-run lodge offers two and three bed rooms, a fully equipped community kitchen, washer/dryer and bicycle and canoe rental and internet access. There is also a well-maintained library of English, German, French and Spanish books and journals.
Our backpacker lodge is the perfect place to either chill out after an exhausting expedition to Patagonia, or to fuel up before a difficult trail to the mountains (Osorno Volcano) or further south.
The picturesque town of Puerto Octay is situated in a protected bay on the north shore of Lake Llanquihue. It boasts amazing views of Calbuco, Osorno and Puntiagudo volcanoes. The surroundings transform from the rolling green hills near the lakes, through to the lush rainforests of the Andes.

This beautiful environment also provides opportunities for many outdoor activities.
