Hostal Maipu Street

Hostal Maipu is located in the beautiful city of Punta Arenas, on the same street, in the heart of the Barrio Croata (The Croatian Neighborhood), one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, where it is still possible to admire and enjoy the old constructions, not far from the museums and the church.

This is a very good place for tourists who are looking for a warm, family hostel. Everything has been taken care of by the owner, Mrs Patricia, who attends all the travellers like real sons and daughters. It is also a perfect place for groups.

The hostel has 8 bedrooms (single, double and triple rooms) and a family room. All our rooms have sattelite tv connection and a private bathroom with shower.

We offer continental breakfast along with tours and information about the city.


We are very close to the center so you can visit the local cemetery. Here is where you can see and enjoy the wonderful architecture from the first explorers who came to Punta Arenas, 100 years ago.

We are located very near the center of the city. You can walk to the center of the city which is 5 minutes away. You can take a taxi if is needed or the local transport system 200 meters away.

You can walk to the Holy Maria Sanctuary, just 5 blocks from our hostel.
