The Old Gaol was originally a jail so you can stay in the cells that used to house prisoners, either in cells that sleep 2, 3 or 6. See what it was like to sleep as a South African prisoner! But there is no curfew and you can come and go as you please of course!
As a gaol prisoner, and being on the door of Rhodes University, it is easy to take part in all the student activities. The pubs and shops are within walking distance.
There is a skydiving club in Grahamstown so doing 'hard time' is jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet over Big Five country!
Grahamstown is in the centre of most the game in the Eastern Cape and you can see animals in a malaria and balhazia free environment.
See you in gaol!!
