Backpackers Hostel - Krakow

Attention backpackers and budget conscious travellers! We offer cheap accommodation in single, double, triple and quadruple rooms.

Our hostel has been available for travellers and backpackers from all over the world for 8 years now. We help our guests organise their stay in Krakow. We also offer tickets for tours to Auschwitz and to Wieliczka salt mines. Bursa Jagiellonska co-operates with other hostels in Poland and from all over Europe.

We are located near the city centre, within walking distance of the Wawel Castle (20 min) and the old Jewish district of Kazimierz (10 min).

Apart from car parking and payphones, all the facilities in our hostel are free of charge.

Please note you must contact our hostel if you are arriving later than the time outlined on your confirmation; failure to do so will result in your booking being cancelled.

Directions

From the main railway and bus station:
After you leave the platform, go to the bus stop labelled 'Dworzec Główny Zachód (Galeria)' (there are several bus stops near the railway station, so watch the labels!) take bus no. 179 in the direction of „Kurdwanów”. Get off at the 11th stop called 'Rondo Matecznego'. Cross the street and walk into Kalwaryjska. Take the first turning to the left into Śliska.

From the International Airport Krakow - Balice:
Take bus no. 192 from the airport, get off at the bus stop 'Cracovia', then go to the bus stop in front of the cinema 'Kijów' (also labelled „Cracovia”), get on the bus no. 103, 144, 164, 173 or 179, and get off at the stop called 'Rondo Matecznego' (it's the 5th stop - roundabout Matecznego).

Information for drivers
From Matecznego Roundabout enter Kalwaryjska Str and take the first turning left into Sliska Street.

Taking a taxi:
You can also take a taxi from both locations. It is safe and cheap, especially if more than one person take it together. We recommend 'Wawel' taxi line (the cheapest in Krakow) call +48129666 or +48501449666 (estimated cost of a taxi from the airport - 60 PLN - about 15 Euro, from the main railway and bus station - 15-20 PLN - about 4-5 Euro).Do not take the taxis which are waiting immediately in front of the railway station building, as the taxi drivers take double the price. Should you have any problems ordering a taxi, call us and we will do our best to help you.) If you have any problems communicating with taxi drivers, especially over the price, when you arrive to the hotel someone at the reception desk can help you (you can either ask the taxi driver to come over to the reception desk or, before paying, ask the receptionist for help.)
