Camp Sarchu Heights

Camp Sarchu Heights is the first high altitude luxury camp on the mandatory halt to Ladakh and Zanskar. The camp is scientifically designed with much emphasis on warm beds, intact canvas rooms, high level of food hygiene, Eco-friendly management of waste and garbage and, finally, the utmost safety of its guests. The hospitable professional camp team can provide medical assistance and transportation for any emergency which should remove the feeling of distance from your home.
The Swiss cottage style tents are 100% waterproof at Camp Sarchu Heights. The double layered floor sheet is continuous with all the four walls to make it perfectly windproof. The double-bedded living room offers centre table, luggage rack, reading chair and a woolen Tibetan carpet inside. Hot water bottles, extra warm thick mattresses, poly filled pillows and quilts make the stay more comfortable. The kitchen offers A-La-Carte breakfast (limited menu) and a best combination of Indian, Chinese and continental cuisine, keeping food hygiene as a prime area of concern. The restaurant caters 30 persons at one time and an out side buffet is also fixed some times in need.
We claim for the most luxurious bathrooms too which provide running hot water shower and WCs. Specially designed sewage system tells a lot about our scientific Eco management at this altitude. Every area of the camp is connected with electricity and beautified to give a feeling of real luxury resort.

Directions

1. Camp Sarchu Heights is established at the altitude of 4000 meters in western Himalayas, on the way to Ladakh or Leh from Manali.

2. Ladakh: the forbidden land of Ladakh shares boundaries with Tibet, China and Kashmir.

3. HImachal Pradesh is a small hill state of India which is highly beautiful and extremely peaceful. Manali is one popular tourist station of this state and at the same time Manali can be nicely described as the gateway to Ladakh. Leh is the capital of Ladakh. Once you reach New Delhi, the capital of India, you can get fastest train shatawdi express to Chandigarh. Chandigarh is the City beautiful of India designed by French architecture at the distance of 285 Kms from Delhi towards extreme north. >From here Manali is 302 Kms and distance can be covered by car or buses. Shatawdi takes 3 hrs to complete this 285kms and further bus takes 8 hrs and car takes 7 hrs to reach Manali.

4. From Manali we drive to Leh covering 485 kms distance and passing 04 mountain passes ranges from 13500 feet to 18200 feet. The distance takes two days so Sarchu is an inevitable night resort on this way which is world's second highest motorable road.

5. The roads to Sarchu and further to Leh is surprisingly nice, maintained by the BRO (Border roads organisation) which is one of the top Indian road makers and have made various challanging roads in various counteries too.

6. There are two ways to reach Sarchu, one is from Manali and second is from Leh. One can fly to Leh from Delhi and travel back to Manali through Sarchu also.

7. Cost: Delhi to Chandigarh by Shatawdi is 11$ and bus ticket from Chandigarh to Manali is 9$ and from Manali to Leh independent taxi will charge 250$ and bus ticket is for 25$.
